March Guide Profile Kresta Painter
 Kresta joined Mariah in 2001, bringing a
wealth of outdoor experience with her. In addition to many years of rafting
throughout the United States, Costa Rica, and Fiji, she just received her dive
certification in Panama. No matter where you find Kresta her sense of humor and
lust for life are contagious and you are guaranteed to have a great time! Her
goals this year include becoming certified as an Open Water Sea Kayak
Instructor, surfing "kresta overhead" waves, snowboarding as much as she can,
guiding on the river all summer, and graduating from college with an Associates

Welcome to Mariah's E-News.
Just for
Women
Out of
about 60 rafting companies in California, Mariah Wilderness Expeditions is the
only one owned and operated by a woman. In addition to our women's California
rafting and international travel adventures, we have, since we began in 1982,
also taken over 120,000 rafters from the general public, companies, schools,
and social clubs down the rivers in California. So, we hope you enjoy reading
this E-News, and we hope you join us this summer!

A Gathering of Crones
A Celebration for Women of Age
May 13, 9:30A.M. - 4 P.M.
What
could be better than a day in May at Mariah Wilderness Expedition's camp by the
American River with a bunch of fun women over 50? Join Circle of Life Coaches,
Diane Reynolds and Karen Halseth, to celebrate your stories, let out your
creative self, and dream of the things you still want to accomplish. Women
coming together who have lived and experienced life deeply will be part of the
circle---women like you! Eat a gourmet lunch, participate in all the workshop
events, go home with a unique art item of your making, and a logo memento. Call

to register. Camping at Mariah the night before or night after, as well as a
raft trip on Sunday, May 14 is also available for additional fees. Crones
